Speed Rings and Bearing Spacers
Speed rings are just washers that keep your wheels moving. Speed rings put pressure onto the inner part of the bearing (when you tighten it with the nut) so that it keeps it moving freely. Bearing spacers are what you put inside of your wheels to act like a secondary way of putting pressure on the bearings. This enables you to tighten up your wheels so that there's no play. (wobble) Even if you have your wheels tightened fully, the wheels will keep spinning.
Base Plates/Axles/Hangers
When you are buying trucks you have to make sure you know what you're looking for. Trucks have different baseplates that vary in size and shape. They also have different kingpins that vary in angle, which gives you either more or less turn.
Axles are the metal rods that you put your wheels onto. They are locked into what's called the hanger. The hanger is the moving part of the truck. Bushings fit on both sides of the hanger, and that's what gives you the ability to turn.
